We announce our 2013 Grand Prize Winning Photo, and remind you to enter for 2014!
The votes are in! J. Lee Westlund of Marengo, Wisconsin, never dreamed his photo of 93-year-old farmer Roman Theisen would win the grand prize. But readers named this endearing country portrait the best of the 2013 Rural Photography Contest! Lee notes that Roman is a great guy and a true gentleman farmer who lets him hunt turkey on his land. Congratulations to both Lee and Roman!
You could win, too. If you have a special country photo, send it in for the 2014 contest by Dec. 1. Finalists in our categories—Kids, Animals, Scenery and People—receive $100 each. Each category winner gets an additional $200 and the chance to compete for our grand prize. Send us your best country photo, and a year from now, you may be the one spending the $1,000 grand prize!
